Welcome to Hochiminh city - the non sleeping city of Vietnam. Your private driver will meet you at the airport, holding a signboard with your name. He will escort you to your accommodation right in the centre

Overnight in Hochiminh city

The tunnels are a great destination located 70 km from the Ho Chi Minh City Center to the Northwest. Cu Chi was known as the “area of steel” in the war time, and the tunnel systems were over 200km, which was considered the unbreakable underground village in the Vietnam-American war. It is legendary for its network of tunnels, and is a popular destination for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.

Around 8:00 a.m: Pick up at your hotel and depart to Cu Chi will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving.

Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by an introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time exploring the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the specially constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purposes during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served.

Break time for relaxing or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun.

Return to Hochiminh city for relaxing

Overnight in Hochiminh city

Depart from your hotel, the designated meeting point and head towards Cai Be, one of the charming destinations in the Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, take a scenic boat ride along the Tien River and visit the remaining site of the former Cai Be wholesale floating market, where you can learn about the traditional trading activities of the local people.

Continue the journey with a visit to an ancient house, showcasing the traditional architecture and lifestyle of the Mekong Delta. Stop at a local coconut candy workshop to see how this popular specialty is traditionally made and enjoy some tastings.

Afterwards, relax while tasting a variety of fresh tropical fruits and listening to traditional Vietnamese folk music. Continue by sampan through the narrow canals, surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful village scenery.

Enjoy lunch at a garden house featuring local Mekong Delta specialties, followed by a hands-on cooking experience where you can learn how to prepare some traditional Vietnamese dishes. In the afternoon, take a leisurely cycling trip through the quiet village roads, passing orchards, local homes, and rice fields. Visit Ba Kiet’s ancient house before continuing to Can Tho.

Upon arrival in Can Tho, check in at the hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

After breakfast, take a morning boat trip to Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest floating market in the Mekong Delta. Experience the lively atmosphere as local vendors trade fresh fruits, vegetables, and other goods directly from their boats. Continue to a local noodle factory to discover how traditional rice noodles are produced.

Next, visit Munir Ansay Pagoda, a beautiful Khmer temple that offers an insight into the culture and religious traditions of the Khmer community in southern Vietnam.

Continue to Con Son tourist area, a peaceful island surrounded by rivers and lush orchards. Take a leisurely walk through the gardens, enjoy seasonal tropical fruits, and experience the authentic countryside atmosphere. Have lunch at a local restaurant before departing for Ho Chi Minh City.

Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon

Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel and have some free time at leisure for last-minute shopping or relaxation. Depending on your flight schedule, our driver will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your departure flight.
